[REC]

Okay, Rec, now I'm actually a big fan of camcorder horror films so of course I'm gonna share some of my own thoughts .

All I can really say is, wow, this films has every element a camcorder horror should have plus more. The plot is basically about a reporter who's doing a report on firemens lives and she goes with them on a rescue mission into an appartment building, only to soon be locked in the building by the authorities for reasons unknown.

The whole concept of how we never really know whats the reason behind the building being sealed off only adds to the elements of paranioa going on amungst the characters and the suspense, because you never know what to expect. Towards the end of the movie there are many suggestions as to what might be the reason behind the building being quarantined, but there is never any real explanation to it.

The actors and actresses do amazing jobs, and sometimes it seems like they are actually talking to each other and not just resiting lines from a script, seeing how alot of their diologue over laps one anothers, which delivers a great effect.

A lot of the time, I actually forgot I was watching a movie and in some cases I actually thought that it was real in some places, especially the begining where the woman is just doing a report for a reallity show called "While your asleep", and for that part it actually felt like I was watching the news rather than a movie.

The one scene in particular, that stands out in my mind, iswhen the little girl turns into one of the creatures or whatever, and starts trying to kill people. One thing can be said was that I was honestly not expecting it and the girl was actually pretty scary and she did a very good job in acting, it's not very often you see a child actress delivering such a beleivable and scary performance, especially at such a young age.

But by far, the scariest scene in the whole movie is the final scene in the penthouse appartment, and the moment when it goes into night vision, it grows more and more intense every second, and belevie me when I say this, by the end of this scene you will have shit your pants. But when the end credits roll with that rock and roll song and the title popping up, we're all suddenly reminded, it's only a movie.

I could talk about this film for ages and how much it kicks ass, but really i just have this left to say, it is with out a doubt the scariest movie I have seen in a long time.

Essential veiwing, if you want to be scared then this movie will do it for you, definatly.
